EgyptAir flight MS804 plane debris and passenger belongings 'found'
An Egyptian army spokesman says jets and naval vessels participating in the search for EgyptAir flight 804 have found wreckage of the plane 180 miles north of Alexandria.
The Airbus 320, which was travelling from Paris to Cairo, disappeared from the radar at 2:45 a.m. local time Thursday morning with 66 passengers and crew on board.
Brig. Gen. Mohammed Samir said the military found "personal belongings of the passengers and parts of the plane debris".

Egyptian airport officials said a team led by chief Egyptian investigator Ayman el-Mokadam, joined by French and British investigators, as well as an expert from Airbus will inspect the wreckage.
Minutes after the announcement, the Egyptian presidency expressed its "deep sadness and extreme regret" in its first official recognition of the tragedy.
EgyptAir confirmed on its Twitter feed that debris and personal belongings have been found near the area where MS804 lost contact with radar.

EgyptAir also tweeted "its deepest sorrow to the families and friends of the passengers on board Flight MS804".
