Esports as seen through the eyes of grandma and grandpa

LOS ANGELES -- Just what you've always wanted to see, grandma or grandpa's reaction to esports.

It's hard enough for news reporters to comprehend the phenomenon, but how about baby boomers? "I don't know what that was," "It's not like a hockey game," and "I don't see how watching this is that exciting" are all pretty predictable reactions.

What is pretty cool: seeing how some of the elders embraced it. Most consider professional gaming to be an actual sport, and know that it takes skill and determination just as any other sport would.

Participant Phil said it best: When you're having fun at something you love and you can make money doing it, that is happiness.
