Elizabeth Warren and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had a cute conversation about 'Ballers'
Elizabeth Warren is a baller.
It turns out Warren, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, and her husband, Bruce, are huge fans of the HBO comedy Ballers, which stars the one and only Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Warren loves the show so much that she tweeted her excitement for the show's Season 5 premiere, which aired Sunday night, and even congratulated The Rock on his recent marriage.

The Rock was thrilled to hear from his "ballin' friend" on Twitter and thanked Warren for the "marriage well wishes" and all of her work as Senator. "Enjoy Ballers tonight," he wrote.

Warren must have been thrilled later to learn that she actually made an appearance in the Season 5 premiere. (Sort of.) Johnson's character was seen reading the candidate's 2017 book, This Fight Is Our Fight: The Battle to Save America’s Middle Class.

Like other HBO shows, including Game of Thrones, Warren has been very open about her love for Ballers and Johnson in the past. She also called him "her favorite actor and not-so-secret crush" in a May 2018 tweet.
According to the tweet, Warren is SUCH a Ballers fan that she even keeps an autographed pilot script on her desk in Washington to "remember to stay ballin'."
This is a lot to take in, but once you really digest the fact that Warren deeply loves The Rock, and a TV show called Ballers, and publicly participates in Crush Twitter, it's quite delightful.

As Boston.com reported, Warren has also discussed Ballers in several interviews, including one in which she said, "It's a story about perseverance... It's a story about having to reach within yourself and find something you're not 100 percent sure is there."
In a 2018 interview with Pod Save America, however, Warren simply said that she's such a big fan of the show because of The Rock. "It is The Rock," she said in the voice of a woman who has a major celebrity crush.

Warren and Johnson also interacted on Twitter earlier this month when the 2020 candidate bluntly told "all the reporters" who were reminding her about the Ballers premiere that she obviously knew when it was and had it marked in her calendar for months.
Johnson, knowing she's a hardcore fan, came to her defense, tweeting, "You reporters better put some respek on Senator Warren's name..."

We stan this friendship hard.
