The show marks the beginning of Oakley and host Ellen DeGeneres' overall development deal with her recently launched Ellen Digital Network.

The two will collaborate on a range of original digital projects with an aim toward developing projects for television as well.

Launched in partnership with the Warner Bros. Television Group, DeGeneres' network will offer an original slate of programming for multiple platforms.

The platform was first announced during NewFronts in New York in May.

DeGeneres' digital video platform — EllenTube — is filled with viral clips from the show.

Oakley's show will be available on the Ellen Digital Network. Additional upcoming guests include Kristen Bell, Seth Rogen, Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, Carrie Underwood and Scott Eastwood.

Both Oakley and DeGeneres were very excited about the announcement.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Ellen, who is someone I’ve looked up to and whose career path I’ve aspired to follow," Oakley said in a statement. "She has embraced the digital age and understands what I have been able to accomplish on my social platforms. We both are working toward a common goal: to usher in audiences to a new age where both traditional and digital media platforms collide, and I couldn’t have found a better partner to achieve that with.”

"[Ellen] has embraced the digital age and understands what I have been able to accomplish on my social platforms."

Oakley, who has amassed more than 7 million subscribers and 500 million video views since launching a channel in 2007, is the author of Binge, an alum of CBS' The Amazing Race and a LGBT advocate.

He will appear on DeGeneres' show on Wednesday.

Other previously announced programming for The Ellen Digital Network includes: Ellen’s Pet Dish, an animated series featuring Ellen’s pets from Warner Bros.’ digital production studio Blue Ribbon Content; the return of 4-year-old viral sensation Brielle; new episodes of Dance Challenge;#MadeByYou, featuring the best user-generated content from EllenTube; and popular Ellen Show game Epic or Fail.

California teens Joshua Holz and Daniel Lara (behind the "Damn Daniel" viral video) will also create an all-new original series, which will debut on Snapchat later this year.
