Elon Musk, master hat salesman, is now going full-on Willy Wonka.

The billionaire will offer ten lucky fans a shot at touring the Boring Company tunnel in Hawthorne, California, where they'll even be given a chance to drive one of the company's machines (no word on if it'll be Godot or Line-Storm).

How can you enter into the sweepstakes for the Boring tour, you ask? Easy. If you were one of the 35,000 and counting purchasers of the Boring Company hats, you're already eligible. If you haven't, you're gonna want to buy one — or a few— hats.

To be fair, Musk hasn't specifically indicated that he'll be leading the tour, or if he'll even be present — but the mental image of the billionaire decked out in Gene Wilder cosplay (screw the creepy Johnny Depp version) is just too good to ignore. My colleague Jack Morse hopes Musk throws his all into the effort, complete with tunes from the 1971 classic:

As with all of Musk's tweets, fans immediately flooded the replies. If nothing else, this has been a savvy move to sell even more Boring hats.

No word on the insurance policy needed for the tour, or if there will be Oompa Loompas.
