Elon Musk's Boring Company flamethrowers are as good as sold out.

Naturally it means people out there will be looking for one, and lo and behold, people are flipping their flamethrowers for inflated prices online.

On eBay, there are roughly 50 listings advertising the flamethrower, with one listing as priced as high as $24,999 if you buy it now.

Many listings are around the $1,000-$2,000 range, and all make the point that Musk's flamethrower is going to be hard to find.

You might be able to cut yourself a better deal on Craigslist, with one listing selling the item for $1,200. Another listing advertises one for $1,500, from a seller who has bought five flamethrowers.

Of course, it's worth noting that the sale of these flamethrowers appear to be mostly legal in the U.S., making the jacked up prices the most egregious element to this whole thing.

It's the same situation with the Boring Company's last piece of merchandise, the hat, of which there were 30,000 sold. On eBay they're going for as high as $250, an eye-wateringly steep markup from its original $20 price tag.

On Twitter, Musk said each flamethrower will be individually numbered. There's a price to pay if you want to feel special.
