Elon Musk well actually'd Grimes over their baby name just after she gave birth

Ah, to be a woman on the internet.

Elon Musk and Grimes welcomed little X Æ A-12 Musk into the world on Monday, but Musk's Twitter gaffes have not stopped.

After Musk announced their newborn son's birth in a reply to a thread about cars, Grimes took to Twitter to unpack the baby's nearly indecipherable name.

Among other meanings, their baby's name is also a reference to the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a military aircraft introduced in 1966. Apparently, it's also both Grimes' and Musk's "favorite aircraft" — don't all couples bond over their favorite piece of military machinery? The "A-12" in the baby's name refers to the precursor to the SR-71.

In her tweet, Grimes incorrectly called the aircraft the "SR-17" and then went through the age-old experience of being a woman on the internet.

Musk replied with a correction.

In her defense, Grimes had literally brought another life into this realm just before tweeting.

"I am recovering from surgery and barely alive so may my typos b forgiven," she replied to her boyfriend.

When another Twitter user raised concerns over little X Æ A-12's name, Grimes replied that she though it sounded like "the name of the main character in the story."

"I hope he vibes with that," she said.

Neither parent has commented on how one would pronounce "X Æ A-12." At least he can always go by a nickname!
