Help Elon Musk name his tunneling machine right now
Elon Musk has a difficult dilemma on his hands: He needs a name for The Boring Company's first tunneling machine.
And of course, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and (probably) his new tunnel-related venture, has taken to Twitter to ask for help.
We're not sure if he's referring to the machine that was recently spotted in SpaceX's backyard -- it's possible, but this tunneling venture is full of unknowns, so who knows?
So far, Musk's come up with Ultimate Boring Machine, the Second. Why "the Second," you ask, if it's the company's first tunneling machine? "It has more credibility," says Musk.
You can follow the ongoing, lively discussion on Twitter, started just an hour ago as of this writing.
Here are some of the ideas Musk has gotten from his followers so far:
"Tunnel Vision I"
"The Molar"
"Steely Dan"
"Boring Machine E" (because Ford can't sue like it did when Tesla tried to launch the Model E)
"Hyperbore"
"Subterranean Borealis"
"Dirt Dragon"
"The Bore"
"Wormhole"
"Ludicrous Boring Machine, the Second"
"Deep Hole"
"Bored to Dirt"
Have a better idea? Go tell Musk. Now, he's waiting.
