What is dead may never die. That's clear from the love between Game of Thrones actors Emilia Clark and Jason Momoa, which is still going strong even seven years after his character's death on the show.

The iconic Khal Drogo might've been sacrificed in Season 1 (by Daenerys herself, actually), but Momoa has remained a fan of the show from afar. Now, as the show is closing in on its final days of shooting, he was welcomed back into the arms of old cast members to celebrate the end. And we mean literally into their arms.

Clarke and Momoa posted Instagram pictures of their recreation of Dirty Dancing's famed lift during the Season 8 wrap party. And in case you aren't already feeling misty-eyed at the prospect of a Drogo and Dany reunion, Momoa even called Clarke the "moon of my life," recalling their characters' pet names for each other.

Now, before we all grab our tinfoil hats (mine never leaves my head), Momoa's presence at the party doesn't necessarily mean he's returning to the show in any capacity for Season 8. Momoa was quick to dispel these rumors in another Instagram post with Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) and show creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

"I’m just here for kisses and hugs," he writes in the caption.

But it wouldn't be the first time cast members lied or misdirected us in order to preserve surprises in the upcoming season. Remember when Jon Snow was, like, totally dead! We were nuts for thinking he'd be resurrected!

Then he was resurrected.

Fans were already speculating six month ago about Drogo's potential reappearance, when Momoa was spotted visiting Belfast in similar pictures with the creators and cast. Back then, he vehemently denied his return in an Entertainment Weekly interview, while also adding that the finale is "going to be the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV."

Of course, if Momoa does play a role in Season 8, we're sure it'd only be in flashbacks (Bran is the Three-eyed Raven after all). He was part of an important prophecy Dany saw at the House of the Undying in Season 2, and its full significance should be revealed by the end of the story.

Who knows, maybe Daenerys' sun and stars returns to welcome her into the after life along with him and their son after she dies in the final season. It's the end game now, so all bets are off!

Not all the major cast members who died over the years made it to the party. But the original Game of Thrones death shocker did make an appearance. It's good to see Sean Bean looking more alive than ever, with his head firmly attached to his body.

All of it is enough to make us weep for everything we've lost and will lose once Season 8 is over. We know all men must die. But does our favorite show have to die too?
