Rami Malek makes perfect ‘Mr. Robot’ joke while accepting Emmy
NEW YORK -- The Dark Army wins.
Rami Malek took home an Emmy for best lead actor in a drama series for his role as super-hacker Elliot in Mr. Robot.
"Oh my God, please tell me you're seeing this too," Malek said when accepting his award. "Oh my God."

Sam Esmail's techno-thriller follows Elliot, an emotionally and psychologically troubled cybersecurity expert, after the head of a secret society — Christian Slater's enigmatic Mr. Robot — approaches him for help in bringing down a massive company.
"It's unfortunate, but i’m not sure how many of us would want to hang out with a guy like Elliot," Malek said. "I want to honor the Elliots. Because there's a little bit of Elliot in all of us."
The show received six Emmy nods this year. Malek was nominated last year as well, but lost to frontrunner Jon Hamm, who took home his first Emmy for his role as the infamous Don Draper on Mad Men.
Malek's fellow nominees included: Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan) and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards).
