If you want to get a sense of just how caught up in World Cup fever the UK is, you don't need to look far.

A good place to start would be Ian Wright's delirious reaction to the England Vs. Colombia result, or the footage of people across the country celebrating that final penalty.

Another good place would be this image of a random road in London, which on Tuesday night played host to a large crowd of Wimbledon spectators on their way home.

The reason they all stopped outside the same house? A giant TV screen...

They must have caught wind of the penalty shootout and stopped as soon as they spotted that giant TV.

And it must have been quite a shock to the owners when they looked out of their window after they'd finished celebrating...
