English fans toss their beers high and far to celebrate World Cup goal
There were a lot of pent-up feelings for the English as their mens World Cup took to the pitch to face Croatia in the World Cup semifinal.
The world's home of soccer hasn't won a World Cup since 1966 but England are believers again thanks to a trip to the World Cup semifinal against Croatia on Wednesday.
And this fifth minute goal from Kieran Trippier in the match, to put England up 1-0, resulted in so much English jubilation.

And, specifically for the crowds back in England, it was a chance to fling all those pints of beer high overhead.

At publish time, things are tense, though, as Croatia has tied the match 1-1, given their fans a chance for a beer-soaked celebration of their own.

UPDATE: July 11, 2018, 4:39 p.m. EDT It's ultimately heartbreak for England, who lost 2-1, so here's hoping for more beers to drown the sorrows.
