Could be time to look for a new gym membership?

Equinox's slogan, "It's not fitness. It's life," is taking on new meaning in the wake of the high-end gym's connection to a fundraiser for Donald Trump.

Billionaire Stephen Ross, chairman and founder of Related Companies — which owns both Equinox and SoulCycle — has faced major backlash this week for the fundraiser for President Trump taking place at his Hamptons home on Friday. Tickets for the fundraiser cost up to $250,000.

Celebrities like Billy Eichner, Chrissy Teigen, and Jonathan Van Ness called for people to boycott both Equinox and SoulCycle, and cancelled their own memberships. In response to the vast outrage, Equinox and SoulCycle issued similar statements, saying that the companies don't support the event and attempting to distance themselves from Ross.

For many, however, these statements ring a bit thin. People have taken to Twitter in response to both Equinox and SoulCycle, letting them know that their statements are not enough.

So far, the companies have yet to respond to those criticisms.
