An "Erotic Eggplant" is for sale on New Zealand auction site Trade Me. No prizes for guessing why.

"For sale, a freshly picked phallic aubergine. Totally organic, satisfaction guaranteed. All proceeds to Charity," the listing's description reads.

The bidding began Saturday, starting at NZ$1 (US$0.67), with the sale proceeds to go to the good folks over at the New Zealand Prostate Cancer Foundation, according to the New Zealand Herald

At the time of writing, bids had reached NZ$101 (US$68.06), proving eager shoppers are certainly not dicking about.

The unnamed user from Waikato, New Zealand said the auction was just for a laugh. It all started when his father found the bizarre object growing in their vegetable patch and picked it last Wednesday.

"He thought it was hilarious, and my wife and I found it pretty funny too," he told the publication.

As for the size, the eggplant is seven inches (17.7 centimetres) long and has a girth of four inches (10.1 centimetres). If you're worried it might go floppy, it's currently being stored in a refrigerator where it's holding up quite well, apparently.

Bidding ends Saturday. Run, don't walk.
