Get in the Eurovision spirit with this crowdsourced karaoke app
LONDON -- If you're as excited about the Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday as we are, you've got a song in your heart and you want to share it with the world.
Swedish telecom operator Tele2 and producer Pontus Winnberg (of Miike Snow) have teamed up to release The Sound of Europe website and app -- a crowdsourced singalong that's meant to celebrate the song contest's vision of strengthening cross-border bonds.

Winnberg created the song "One," and with the site or app you can record yourself singing it -- adding your voice along with everyone else who's done it.
"The song’s message speaks for itself and I am convinced that many will appreciate the initiative and contribute with their voice to create a more open and inclusive society," Winnberg was quoted saying in a press release.
The project has been big in Sweden, who is hosting the grand finale of Eurovision in Stockholm this year. A clip of a 97-year-old woman singing the song did the rounds of the Swedish media, and TV personality Adam Alsing sang it in the shower and posted it on Instagram.
Checking in on the website on Friday, it looks like only people from Belgium, Germany, Russia and Sweden have added their voices to the mad, glorious song.
So get singing if you want to take part -- the app is available until the finale on Google Play and Apple's App Store. The concept was developed by marketing agency Edelman Deportivo and the website/app by digital agency Emakina.
All proceeds from the song will go to Radiohjälpen, a Swedish humanitarian aid charity.
