31 years of Air Jordan history in 6 minutes
Few people on Earth know the iconic Air Jordan sneaker line like Jeff Atienza. So who better to take us on an Air Jordan safari?
Mashable was at Nike's Oregon headquarters in May for an early look at the Air Jordan XXXI (the line's latest offering, which was officially unveiled Wednesday). While at Nike HQ months before the unveil, we nabbed Atienza -- a Jordan brand product line manager -- for a stroll down memory lane.
Mashable producer Sam Sheffer co-pilots the video atop this post. Atienza breaks down Michael Jordan's signature Nikes, from the Air Jordan I, released way back in 1985, to the Air Jordan XXXI, which will hit shelves this fall.
So check it out. Whether you're a bona fide sneaker-head or just have a casual interest in shoes, trips like this through pop culture history don't come around often.
