Why pick sides in the eternal conflict between iOS and Android?

Eye is an iPhone case that contains a fully independent and functional Android phone. The product is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter. While advertised as a case that adds a "5 inch display, battery power, up to 256GB storage, SIM slots, an IR blaster and wireless charging" to your iPhone, the case is really a completely separate Android phone.

The case currently supports the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7 and 7 Plus. It connects to the iPhone via the Lightning port for charging and file transfer, so while these are technically two independent phones, you can use them in tandem for some features.

The phone also boasts a screen-mirroring feature that helps you take better selfies. The iPhone, like many other devices, has a better rear camera than front camera, but it obviously can't be used for selfies or front facing video. Eye fixes this by mirroring the display of the camera app to its screen, so you can use the rear camera with the convenience of the front camera.

Similarly, the Eye case supports wireless charging and powers the iPhone via the Lightning port -- a clever workaround. Eye also features a headphone jack: imagine that!

At first glance, the case is only marginally better than literally taping a Nexus to your iPhone, but features like the headphone jack and extra battery life may make it appealing to iPhone users.

The phone is made by ESTI, a Tel Aviv based company. The case is available for pre-order on Kickstarter for $95 with a planned retail price of $189.
