Farewell flower crowns, it's all about face flowers now
LONDON -- Bye bye, beloved flower crowns. You were the sartorial version of a cherry on a cake, but the time has come to bid you adieu.
Everybody, say hello to face flowers.
What are they? Well, as the name might suggest, face flowers involve placing real pressed flowers around the hairline on your face. Indeed, models at the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Spring Summer 2017 show in London rocked pressed flowers on their faces, necks and chests.

The dried and pressed flowers -- including daisies, cornflowers and forget-me-nots -- were stuck to the models using adhesive.
The flowers were dotted around the hairline and under the eye to create a flower frame around the face.
And, some models wore flowers on their lips only.
Lipstick is so passé.
