The Internet is filled with dirty, stinkin' liars.

A video of a snowboarder being chased by a bear has been making its way across the Internet, but a closer look at the video proves that the bear is comically bad.

The clip was uploaded by a YouTuber named Kelly Murphy, who has just two other snowboarding clips that she claims were recorded at Hakuba 47 in Japan.

Looking a little deeper, the bear is clearly digitally added -- it just has that pristine shine to it. That, in addition to the laughable audio track and the outpouring of comments claiming the video is fake is enough to convince us.

However, Murphy, who according to News 9 in Australia, is a 19-year-old student from Sydney, will not let go of her story. She claims that she didn't notice the bear until digging through her footage later.

According to a local tour group, the Asiatic black bear is common in the area, and has been aggressive towards humans, but the bear in the clip looks more like a grizzly.

And this isn't all that uncommon. Typically a visual effects artist will attempt to show off their skills by creating a fake viral video, but it seems as if this artist wasn't that great, or the Internet has wised up.

Last June, footage of a drone striking a commercial jet near New York City was released. That was fake. The same month, a video of a spider crawling out of someone's ear was going around. That was also fake. Both of those videos were created by visual effects artist Bruce Branit.

No brand, viral marketing company or effects artist has claimed responsibility, but we'll update the post if they decide to come forward.
