'Fantastic Beasts' sequel gets November 2018 release date

Newt Scamander still has plenty of beasts to find, apparently.

Warner Bros. has announced a release date for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel: Nov. 16, 2018.

2 Fantastic 2 Find (or whatever the actual title winds up being) is the second in a planned trilogy of films, the first of which arrives this fall. The third movie will drop November 2020.

J.K. Rowling will return to write the screenplay and David Yates, who also helmed the last four Harry Potter films, will again direct.

The second Fantastic Beasts movie “moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances,” Warner Bros. said in a statement.

Warner Bros. releases the first Fantastic Beast film, starring Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, this Nov. 18.
