It's only been a few weeks since Ubisoft announced Far Cry 5, and it has already set alight many flame wars. During the Ubisoft pre-E3 briefing Monday, the publisher revealed some actual gameplay that contained two unsurprising developments. 1. It looks a lot like a Far Cry game. 2. It will not stop the internet from getting angry.

The gameplay reveal highlighted Far Cry 5's rural Montana setting and the "guns for hire" that will assist the main character in their quest to regain control of a landscape dominated by a fervently religious militia. Air support, sniper support, doggo support, and semi-truck support are all tools in your arsenal to help you survive.

Some vocal gamer (gate) groups have raised a lot of complaints over the enemies in this game being god-fearing (white) people. The gameplay will do little to soothe their (butt) hurt. But if you're still onboard, you can also watch the stirring teaser trailer below.
