One father is making all our childhood dreams come true.

Isaac Bartley, a very handy dad from Canada, decided to turn a previously "wasted" space in his house into an enviable secret playroom for his 7-year-old son. Through his ingenuity, Bartley turned closed off an area under the stairs and provided a secret entrance.

"I thought it would be a great surprise for my son," the doting father revealed to Mashable.

"He was away for the entire build and only saw the finished product," the father said, "I wish i had something like this as a kid."

Didn't we all? Check out how the father carried out all of our childhood dreams in the process he posted on Imgur.

"We have our computer set up beneath the stairs in our house," he wrote in his post, "The actual space under the stair landing has never been used."

On the other side of the wall was the the 7-year-old's closet.

So, the crafty father cut a hole in the wall.

"Next i started modifying the computer desk," he explained, "I added some rollers that the cabinet would hang from, a track on the wall and some rollers on the bottom."

"I did a custom jigsaw cut on the top so now [the desk] sits nice[ly] and touches the wall on its entire length," he wrote.

"The right side had to modified ... (since the desk top height is over 1 inch higher now to allow space for the cabinet to slide without the legs touching the carpet, or the top from touching the desk top underside). I had to use some of the leftover pieces and rip a new support for the right side," the father continued.

And just like that, the child's secret room was created.

"Inside, looking towards the boys room," the father captioned the above photo, explaining that he got an LED strip light from Amazon.

"It does something like 16 different colors and has a remote," he continued.

With hardboard on the ceiling and everything painted white, the father spray-foamed and caulked up all the leftover seams and cracks.

While the room isn't quite finished yet, noting that it will be decorated "properly," the father said his son loves his new secret space. Obviously.
