Creative dad made a perfect DIY Groot and Rocket 'Guardians of the Galaxy' costume for Halloween

We'd say this Halloween costume is out of this world, but we don't make terrible jokes.

A father and his daughter transformed into the fan favorite Groot and Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy for Halloween and you really need to see this costume to believe it.

Tim Burket, posted a video of the costume being built, which he says took around 300 hours.

Initially he wanted to be Star Lord but his daughter insisted he become Groot.

The costume is embellished with great details like the patches of moss growing on Groot’s body. His daughter's costume also features Rocket's Raccoon ears and tail with a tiny toy gun.

This duo is almost definitely more adorable than the original. It's time to cue the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack folks.
