Parenting a child is no longer a requisite for being a "daddy." Now, the most discernible factor is whether or not you’re worthy of someone’s online love.

Calling someone "daddy" online is a definite trend without a specific definition. As Alana Levinson wrote for Mel, "Anyone, regardless of gender, age or parental status," can be assigned the term of endearment.

This is why Zayn Malik is a leading Internet "daddy," despite his lack of a kid. Search "Zayn" and "daddy" on Twitter. Examine the comment section of a sultry Drake Instagram. These are the locations of the knighting ceremonies, where teens transform mere wealthy, gorgeous men into royal "daddies."

In summation, getting called "daddy" is a compliment and an honor -- a veritable seal of approval from pop culture’s most ruthless critics: teens.

Yet, just because these stars may not have children of their own doesn’t mean they can’t celebrate Father’s Day. Perhaps Father’s Day is now as amorphous as the moniker "daddy" itself. In that case, here are our recommendations of Father’s Day gifts for the Internet’s favorite "daddies."

Zayn Malik: #1 Dad Mug

Zayn’s earned the title, so he should flaunt it proudly. He can use the mug for his morning coffee or storing a bunch of fancy fountain pens on the desk in his study that he sits at in order to think alone.

Since the Champagne Papi is notoriously drinking every night (because he’s drinking to his accomplishments), we want to make sure he’s keeping an eye on his health. This is the gift that says, "We want you to stick around for many more Father’s Days!"

Justin Bieber: Lawnmower

Bieber’s driven all kinds of cars, but what about a lawnmower? Now he can go for a joy ride as he gets his backyard into a presentable shape for a barbecue.

Nick Jonas: Hawaiian Shirt

Dads don’t just visit the beach. They also need to dress like it. With this shirt, Nick Jonas can reflect on his successful moves from "boyband member" to "solo singer" to "daddy" while he relaxes by the sea.

Harry Styles: Golf clubs

Harry’s been sporting a weird newsboy hat that might only make sense in the chimney sweep dance scene of Mary Poppins, or on a golf course. These clubs complete the look, and maybe he can make a few business deals out on the green while he’s at it.

Barack Obama: Tie

President Obama is the only actual father on this list, but rest assured that the Internet still refers to him as a "daddy" in the same vein of the others. Ever struggle to get your dad a gift, so you’re just like, "My dad is often wearing a tie, I could just get him one?" Well, Obama’s always wearing ties, too, so he could most likely use another.

BONUS: Who wore it better: Justin Bieber or Doug the Pug?
