'Fear Factor' reboot hosted by Ludacris is coming whether you like it or not
When the audience speaks, MTV answers.
What's that you say? You didn't ask for a reboot of Fear Factor, the terrifying early-2000s reality show in which people frequently lay in coffins full of rats and roaches or whatever?? You didn't just think about that show and go "Hey, I know who should host this: Christopher Brian 'Ludacris' Bridges, rapper extraordinaire and one of the stars of the Fast and Furious franchise!"
And yet, that is what we're getting.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the revival will be 12 episodes and draw from "urban legends, popular scary movies, and viral videos from today's cultural zeitgeist," which just means that the aforementioned rodent and insect challenges will have buzzy names like "Roach-ella."
Contestants will withstand these puns and perils for the chance at a $50,000 cash price. The Fear Factor reboot will premiere May 30.
