Figure skater Jimmy Ma won us all over by performing to a Lil Jon song

We're down for this!

Jimmy Ma just made figure skating the go-to sport of 2018.

At the 2018 U.S. Figure Skating Championship Thursday, Jimmy Ma performed a figure skating routine to "Turn Down For What" by DJ Snake and Lil Jon.

The Queens native surprised the crowd with the song selection and even received excited reactions from the announcers. He made his way through the ice with EDM beats and spins not everyone can do.

"Figure skating is an extreme sport," Ma told USA TODAY Sports. "I want the most amount of people to see that it is both an awesome art form and also an awesome sport. The whole point was to get people hyped. Get older people hyped and for younger people to think it is cool."

His performances also brought positive reactions from the Internet.

It was only recently that skaters had the opportunity to choose songs with lyrics and Ma is one of many that chose modern music. At the same event, Jason Brown performed his routine with a Hamilton hit.

Although he finished in 11th place, he still won a digital gold medal and new viewers for the upcoming Winter Olympics.
