This fire safety video about smoke alarms is so gloriously odd

That's one way to get the message across.

There are few better ways to get your point across than through the medium of dance.

Just look at the clip below, from the Fire and Rescue team in Kent, UK:

That video was designed to get people to test their smoke alarms more regularly -- and judging by the number of retweets it's had, Kent Fire and Rescue seem to have struck a nerve.

If in doubt, a Dirty Dancing parody with some very deadpan dance moves is clearly the way forward.
