Chelsea Handler, Ertharin Cousin among first confirmed 2016 Social Good Summit speakers

The first round of 2016 Social Good Summit speakers has been unveiled, and it includes everyone from talk show hosts to “The Libyan Doogie Howser."

Among the confirmed panelists are comedian Chelsea Handler, who currently hosts her own Netflix-original late-night talk show, Chelsea, as well as Ertharin Cousin, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme.

Handler and Cousin will join activists and world leaders on Sept. 18-19 in New York City to discuss how the global community can work together using new resources and technology to create a better world by the year 2030. The topics touched on at this year’s summit will range from the refugee crisis and global health to issues of gender and racial equality. Confirmed speakers for the 2016 Social Good Summit include:

• Alaa Murabit, MD, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Global Advocate

Together with our partners, the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme and the 92nd Street Y, we invite you to participate in the conversation IRL. Tickets for the summit, which will take place at the 92nd Street Y, are now available.
