Misplaced your Fitbit? Now you can find it with Tile.

The new location-tracking feature only works with the Inspire 2, for now.

Those of you who use the "I can't find my fitness tracker" excuse to skip a workout, might have to think of something else. Fitbit has partnered with Tile, the company known for its Bluetooth trackers, so you'll be able to find your wearable using your phone.

Currently, the feature is only available for the Inspire 2 — Fitbit's $99 fitness tracker that launched last year. But the company says it hopes to expand the capability to its other wearables in the future.

You don't need to purchase a Tile to track your Inspire 2, though. The new feature will be available via an update on the Fitbit app, but you'll have to download the Tile app in order to enable it. If you're buying a new Inspire 2, the update will be part of the set-up process when downloading the latest version of firmware.

Whenever you've misplaced your fitness tracker at home, you'll be able pull up the Tile app to find it. But if you left it somewhere that's outside of your phone's Bluetooth range, like at the gym or a friend's place, then the app can show you its most recently tracked location.

You'll also have access to Tile's global network feature. If the misplaced Inspire 2's signal is recognized by another Tile app near it or by a network extender, then you'll receive a notification of its latest whereabouts.

If you sign up for a Tile Premium subscription ($3 per month or $30 per year), you'll also have access to more features such as Smart Alerts. This will send an alert to your phone if you accidentally leave your Inspire 2 behind, which is especially useful when you go for a walk or a run.

The new update is currently rolling out to the Fitbit app for both iOS and Android this week.
