The great pillow debate is splitting the internet in two

Are you team fluffy pillow, or team flat pillow?

A tweet has sparked a vicious debate about sleeping.

The two opposing sides in question are those who support fluffy pillows, while the rest prefer a flatter pillow to lay their head upon. Twitter user Gina Guillotine aka @nintendo6664 fell on the side that protected the sacred art of sleeping on a soft pillow, and denounced those who didn't.

Little did Gina know her tweet would rally fierce opposition. Users across Twitter hopped in to defend their flat usage.

Gina later followed up her original statement with a very strong argument against sleeping with a flat pillow.

Your head getting hugged from all different sides can either be a nightmare, or a dream come true depending on how you prefer to rest. Some people were here for it though.

Flat pillow users fired back, arguing that fluffy pillows can be just as uncomfortable.

This pillow discourse became extremely complicated as many began to chime in about alternative sleeping habits. For example, some users liked to stack their flat pillows to create the illusion of sleeping on a fluffy one, or rest their head on both types.

Others in the debate talked about how they managed to changed their boyfriend's pillow habits. It should be noted that these men were former flat pillow users.

Wherever you may stand on the pillow debate, as long as you're getting a good night's rest, that's all that matters in the end.
