It's always a big moment when non-Americans take home a Grammy. And Australia is no exception. They're currently losing their minds over 25-year-old artist, Flume's big win.

Flume's album Skin took home the award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album at The Grammys on Sunday evening, beating out nominations from stalwarts of the genre like Jean-Michel Jarre, Underworld and Louie Vega.

"This is totally insane," Flume, real name Harley Streten, said while receiving the award. "Really proud to be here representing Australia, representing Australian music." YASS, son.

It's the first Grammy won by an Australian since Gotye took home two awards in 2012 for "Somebody That I Used To Know," which also featured New Zealand singer Kimbra.

Understandably, news of Flume's win brought plenty of joy to the island Down Under, with the young gun getting props from industry bodies and fellow artists.

Flume, who's been playing electronic music since aged 11, is so big in Australia and New Zealand that his debut album hit number 1, beating out One Direction for the top spot.

Yeah, boy!
