Fortnite is getting back into the Marvel spirit with its new limited-time mode inspired by Avengers: Endgame.

With Avengers: Endgame hitting theaters on Thursday night, the folks behind Fortnite and the Marvel Cinematic Universe have teamed up to bring the Avengers to Battle Royale island. Sort of.

During the limited time event, players who drop down on the island on the Hero team will be able to find various Avengers items including Captain America's shield, Thor's axe, Iron Man's blaster-hands, and Hawkeye's bow.

Why would you want these weapons? To stop Thanos, of course. Players on team Thanos will all start as Chitauri (Thanos's weird alien army) and be tasked with hunting down the Infinity Stones. The first player to find a stone will be transformed in the big purple villain himself.

Once the Infinity Stones are collected, players won't be able to respawn and the conflict will turn into an all-out-war for survival.

Along with the new game mode, the latest Fortnite update will include new cosmetics inspired by Avengers: Endgame including a Black Widow outfit, sprays, items, and a glider. A second Avengers outfit will be revealed in one week.
