This 'Fortnite' rescue attempt went very wrong, very fast

Oh dear.

You can have all the best intentions in the world, but sometimes that simply isn't enough.

A recent Fortnite clip of Australian YouTuber MrMuselk attempting to rescue another player provides glorious proof of this.

"Guys, I have a plan," says Muselk in the video below, after he discovers a fellow player stranded off the edge of a cliff in a zone where he can't build. "We gotta drive the cart off the edge and then he can bounce off the roof and use that to bounce onto our stairs."

Needless to say, it doesn't quite work out that way.

Oh dear.

Turns out trying to stop Muselk flying off the edge was exactly what the stranded player was trying to do. On Wednesday he took to Reddit to tell his side of the story.

Truly a tale for the ages.
