One top Forza player will be getting an actual, real, drivable car as the first place prize of ESL's Forza Racing Championship tournament in September.

The Forza Racing Championship is kicking off with weekly competitions August 8, and is split into two different tournaments, the Open series and the Elite series. Registration is currently open for both, but only making it through the Elite series will earn you a shot at the grand prize: a 2017 Ford Focus RS.

Anyone can register for the Forza Racing Championship Elite series, but you have to place in the top 128 during any of the three qualifying weeks, then place in the top 16 of that week's series cup on Saturday, and finally place in the top four of that week's showdown on Sunday. The grand finals take place Sunday, Sept. 4.

Participants in the Elite series can earn prizes for placing well each week, like Xbox Elite controllers, Xbox One S consoles, and in-game cars and liveries. The prizes change every week.

The Open series is a bit less intense, but doesn't have the same kind of prizes. Players in the Open series play a similar weekly competition and the top 50 percent of participants will win in-game content, including DLC packs.

Everything in the Elite series will be broadcast on Twitch, and the weekly finals and grand finals will be broadcast live from ESL's studios in Cologne, Germany.

The tournament is being hosted by ESL in partnership with Microsoft and Forza Motorsport, and will be the largest Forza championship to date.

Earlier in the year, the World Rally Championship offered up a similar grand prize for its own WRC 5 esports tournament in October. Although WRC announced a car prize before ESL did, the Forza Racing Championship will be the first esports tournament to actually give away a car as a prize.
