Fox News gets trolled after alerting the world that Trump was 'working' all weekend
News Alert: Golfing for pleasure is actually not the same as working.
That should go without saying, but after Fox News claimed in a news alert that President Donald Trump was "working" in the White House all weekend, when in fact, he was golfing, here we are.
On Sunday evening, Fox News tweeted an extremely important news alert informing everyone that Trump did something unbelievable — he stayed in the White House to work for a weekend.
O.M.G.
The president staying in the nation's capital for the weekend had been considered completely normal and even routine for every president before him. For Trump, who usually spends his weekends at his "Winter White House" in Mar-a-Lago, this seemed groundbreaking. Sad!

Right away, Twitter users began to troll Fox News for even dubbing Trump's run-of-the-mill presidential behavior as "newsworthy" in the first place, but after discovering the truth about his White House weekend, the drama escalated.
While Trump may have stuck around D.C. for the weekend, he wasn't always hard at work. Trump spent a good chunk of the weekend golfing at Trump National Golf Club, watching golf, thinking about golf -- you know the drill.
A representative for Fox News did not immediately return a request for comment.
As you could imagine, Twitter users were quick to call out the alert for its failure to tell the whole truth, and um, well, being generally absurd.

#TBT to when Trump and White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, called out President Obama for his various vacations and trips to the golf course.
Spicer said it best.
