Fox News quietly removes 'useful' compilation video of cars 'plowing through protesters' after 6 months
Fox News republished a video reel in January of cars driving -- sometimes smashing -- through protesters.
The post, which Fox pulled from The Daily Caller, gained attention online on Tuesday following a Slate article about it, three days after a man allegedly crashed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters at a racist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing Heather Heyer, 32.
Fox News appears to have taken down the post on Tuesday, shortly after it was widely discovered, though the original -- published by The Daily Caller -- was still up as of this writing. (It's since been removed.)

The post features a video of 90 seconds of different cars pushing and smashing their way through protesters, sometimes appearing to leave injured people in their wake. The video, I shit you not, is set to an acoustic version of Ludacris's "Move Bitch Get Out Da Way."
The text from the post is a simple three sentences:
Here’s a compilation of liberal protesters getting pushed out of the way by cars and trucks. Study the technique; it may prove useful in the next four years. None of these clips are new, but that doesn’t mean they’re not still fresh.
"It may prove useful."
In addition to Heyer, who was killed, 19 people were injured when the accused, James Fields, plowed into the crowd of counter-protesters at high speed on Saturday. The Daily Caller did not immediately respond to a request for comment, though Fox News Digital Editor-in-Chief Noah Kotch did:
“The item was inappropriate and we’ve taken it down."
UPDATE Aug. 15 4:45 p.m. PT: This article has been updated to reflect the fact the Daily Caller post has also been removed.
