Even a Fox News host can't tell if this is real life after Trump's baffling press conference
It's hard to say whether President Donald Trump hit a new low Tuesday afternoon, when the floor has actually turned out to be a bottomless abyss.
Still, Trump successfully managed to deeply disturb some commentators over at Fox News, one of whom called his comments during a press conference that homed in on the Charlottesville protests "disgusting" and one of the "biggest messes" she's ever seen.
Turns out, defending Nazis isn't a politically popular position to take.
From Fox News host Kat Timpf:
"He's not measured in his criticism. He goes after people as soon as he has the inkling. For him to take 48 hours?" Timpf said. "That is something he's never done before. And yeah, it shouldn't be a bold statement to say that yes, a gathering full of white supremacist Nazis doesn't have good people in it."
"It's disgusting."

Timpf, who said the press conference left her wondering if this is "real life," has been particularly vocal on Twitter about the president's failure to call what happened at Charlottesville an act of domestic terrorism.
While Hannity will no doubt be busy exploiting some 1994 Hillary Clinton scandal tonight, it's nice to see these glimpses of reason appear in the darkness, now and again.
