Sorry Frank Ocean fans, but his new song is actually an Audrey Hepburn cover
On Wednesday night, Frank Ocean did what Frank Ocean does best: he released a song unexpectedly on his Tumblr and sent the internet in a frenzy.
In the midst of a delightful panic that new sweet, sweet Frank vocals were out in the world, many people assumed the late Valentine's Day surprise from the singer was his own original track—and a sign that new music was to come. Sorry folks, but at least one of those is not true.
"Moon River" was originally performed by Audrey Hepburn in the classic film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. While the loveliness of the track carries over in this beautiful cover, full of hallmark Frank layers and angst, most of the reactions to first pile up on Twitter brushed over the fact that it indeed was a song originally written by Johnny Mercer in the 1960s.

Though some folks did bring forward a good point: whether you like it or not, with his unique Frank Ocean spin on things, he has successfully made it his own.

While we're on the subject of surprising songs, just a mind-blowing FYI that "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia is also a cover. Anyways, you can listen to Hepburn sing the song below.
