'New Obsession' singer Frankie picks her 9 biggest obsessions

"New Obsession" -- which was just released to radio this week -- launched Los Angeles-based pop singer-songwriter Frankie into the limelight last year thanks in large part to the fact that Taylor Swift put it on her list of songs that will "make your life more awesome."

Indeed, the song -- like the rest of her short and sugary sweet debut EP Dreamstate -- is bubblegum pop at its stickiest. It's a song about crushing hard that seems to have that jittery, butterfly-in-your-stomach feeling in the music itself. The 24-year-old wrote and produced the song, along with her production partner Petros. 

She'll continue writing and producing her own music for her upcoming debut album. But before then, Frankie talked to Mashable about all of her current obsessions.

1. My Polaroid camera 

"I've been snapping shots every day from the studio and from shows. I want to put a booklet together so I can forever remember what making my first album was like."

2. Game of Thrones 

"My friends and family get together every Sunday to watch the new episode and then theorize after of what we think is coming next. Jon Snow is everything to me and Khaleesi is the ultimate meaning of Girl Power."

3. Avocado toast

"I have been making it every morning. Toast + avocado + fried egg = perfect way to start my day."

4. Disney

"We warm up with Disney songs and sing them constantly in the car. We also need to go to Disneyland at least twice a year to remain a happy functional band. Ben and I do a really great rendition of 'A Whole New World'...according to us."

5. The Warriors 

"The band and I are all from Oakland and we watch the games together and cheer on our Bay Area team. Go Dubs! Curry for President."

6. The Spice Girls 

"Been scrolling through old pics of what Ginger Spice used to wear on stage and attempting to re-create them. I made Petros watch Spice World with me the other day and I'm still obsessed with it. Spice Girls and girl power forever."

7. Sparkles and glitter

"I love decorating my clothes with sequins and dusting my face with glitter before shows. My New Obsession music video party scene is what my sparkly dreams are made of. Too bad laundry sucks afterwards."

8. Dogs 

"The boys and I walk to our local dog park sometimes and pretend we own all the dogs. We make up names for them and jokingly try to steal them. Every day I try and convince them that getting a dog is a good idea. They still aren't buying it."

9. Ellen Degeneres

"I watch her show every day and she never fails to make me smile. Her passion for kindness makes me want to be a better person...and she's so damn funny?!?! Goals."
