When a pizza parlor decided to hold a contest to give away pizza to one lucky customer for a year, they thought the winner would be happy to just stay busy eating for a year. But instead of relishing in the 365 days of cheesy goodness, the winner asked if he could give it all away.

Josh Katrick was randomly selected from 1,200 hopefuls to win pizza for a year from his local Pennsylvania pizza parlor, Mario's Pizza, local news station WMFZ reported.

Katrick got the email about his winnings as he was leaving a chemotherapy treatment center. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in July. But despite his diagnosis and the tough year so far, he told the pizza place he wanted to give back the offer and send it to the local food bank.

"I just wanted to give back to people that could use it more than I could," Katrick told the news station.

So he wrote back to Mario's and, predictably, the rejection of free pizza surprised the pizza parlor's staff. But they thought of a better way to slice it: pizza for both Katrick and the food bank -- for a whole year.

Now that's the definition of a win-win.
