17 costume fails that are scary for all the wrong reasons
Spooky season has finally returned. It's time for candy, cavities, and costumes.
Everyone wants a strong costume game for Halloween. While there are sure to be infinite stellar outfits this year, there will also be plenty at the other end of the spectrum — the kind that scare you for all the wrong reasons. The kind that will have hoards of crying children fleeing porches without a single Tootsie Roll at the sight of them. The kind that should be the result of one too many Hallows' Eve tequila shots but could actually be embarrassingly earnest cases of trial and error.
You may not live down crafting a wretchedly ghoulish costume, but it's a Halloween experience as traditional as trick-or-treating or horror movie marathons. And with that, let's raise our skeleton-hand chalices high in a solemn toast to all of our spectacular Halloween costume blunders of years past.
