Can’t keep your fingers warm in this moody February weather? Yearning for a furry friend to cozy up with at night? Looking for a creative way to spice up your beauty look?

Libertine’s newest styling trend can solve all these problems with one simple nail art solution: furry nails.

The brand debuted the look at New York Fashion Week — undoubtedly a great time to experiment with new trends in beauty — thanks to Jan Arnold, style director and co-founder of CND nail polish. The look has yet to take Instagram by storm. But in fairness, it’s been less than 24 hours since anyone was exposed to the idea of furry fingernails.

To get the look, start by painting your nails with a neutral color. The CND team used Vinylux Weekly Polish in “Rubble” (taupe) and “Cream Puff” (off-white) for the Libertine show. Then, paint on a clear top coat (CND recommends its Super Shiny High-Gloss Top Coat). Press faux fur onto your nails while the polish is drying, and you should have fuzzy fingers in no time.

Pro-tip: Match your fur to the nail polish you used in the first step.

As with normal nail polish, you can get rid of the look using nail polish remover. Pulling acetone-covered fur off your fingers might get a little tedious, but we assume anything would be less annoying than having fur mediate your day-to-day, hand-oriented interactions.

The look is about as practical as the bubble nails that permeated 2015, but aesthetics tend to trump functionality these days. So go out into the word and adhere faux fur to your fingers. #DoItForTheInsta.
