The real MVP.

Warning: Spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7, episode 5.

I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of surprised Bronn's still around.

He's obviously an awesome character, but I genuinely thought he was going to snuff it during that loot train attack. Especially after he made the mistake of attempting to kill Drogon.

He's still here, though, and he now has more MVP points than ever before.

So how are things going to pan out for the former sellsword?

On Wednesday, Reddit user captaindurk shared the following theory:

It's a nice theory, but it's also quite idealistic. Bronn has developed hugely as a character -- the way he acts during the battle against Daenerys is testament to this -- but his role is still a relatively minor one.

For the above theory to be correct, he'd have to 1) be accepted by Daenerys, despite having shot her favourite dragon, and 2) somehow manage to survive the coming wars. Not to mention the fact that Daenerys would have to triumph, and Tyrion would have to survive too.

It's not impossible. Bronn is a born survivor, and if anyone's likely to somehow get through to the end unscathed it's him. He's also good pals with Tyrion, and would be likely to change sides if he thinks Daenerys is the one winning.

Ultimately, though, I think it's more likely he'll be killed off during one of the coming battles. The less selfish and the more heroic his character becomes, the more he opens himself up to risk.

We can still dream, though:
