There was most definitely a fart on 'Game of Thrones' last night

A song of ice and farts.

The night is dark and full of foul winds.

So far, Season 6 of Game of Thrones has been rife with tension, whether it's dangling popular theories like the very popular R+L=J theory, sending Daenerys to the Khal widow prison and always keeping us praying that King Tommen doesn't meet a horrible fate at a moment's notice (as the prophecy predicts).

But one thing we didn't expect from Game of Thrones: a little comic relief.

At one point in episode 3, Cersei, accompanied by resurrected/undead Mountain and Jaime, interrupts a council meeting. Seeing their arrival, Grand Maester Pycelle emits an audible squeak, which a lot of fans noticed.

While some might assume this was a squeaking chair or a pop on a microphone, viewers watching with subtitles can confirm that the sound was most definitely a fart made by Grand Maester Pycelle. He was literally so scared of the Mountain/Cersei/Jaime that he needed to expel gas.

You heard correctly. A fart joke. On Game of Thrones.

Some fans weren't totally convinced, but the evidence was staggering.

However, according to Uproxx, this was not the first fart heard on Game of Thrones, and hopefully not the last.

Back in Season 2, there was another fart heard in the dark of night, and it was just as satisfying.
