Warning: Contains sneaky, sneaky spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 5.

In the world of Westeros, no piece of text -- however briefly it flashes up on the screen -- is safe from scrutiny.

If it's there to be deciphered, you can count on Reddit to do the heavy lifting.

The note Arya found hidden in Littlefinger's mattress during Sunday's episode was absolutely no exception.

A couple of hours after the episode aired, there was already a handy thread in the r/gameofthrones subreddit outlining exactly what it said -- and the contents clearly tells us a thing or two about what Littlefinger is planning.

Here's the contents of the note in full:

Sound familiar?

Well it might not, because it's been years since Sansa actually wrote it. Luckily another Reddit user was on hand with this reminder:

It really is a genius plan, too. Right up until the end of that sequence you think Arya's the one in control, but the final shot of Littlefinger watching her watching him makes it clear where the power currently lies.

The showrunners confirmed as much in this week's behind-the-scenes YouTube video: Littlefinger is leading Arya on a wild goose chase in order to drive a wedge between her and Sansa.

"Arya is very used to being more clever and more stealthy and smarter than any of the people she's up against, and she hasn't dealt with Littlefinger for awhile," says D.B. Weiss in the video.

"So she gets roped into spying on somebody who's actually leading her by the nose to something that he wants her to have.

"He's looking for a way to prevent this sister bond from developing further, because the tighter that bond is the more definitively he is caught on the outside of it."

You can watch the full segment, which begins at 1:05, here:

Oh, Littlefinger.

He may be incredibly smart and manipulative, but we can't help but think he may have bitten off more than he can chew this time around.

There's a reason Bran gave Arya that dagger, after all. If we had to guess we'd say it may have something to do with the constant meddling of Petyr Baelish...
