The Game of Thrones prequels are coming, and number one starts filming in October, reports Deadline. The series is based on a story by George R. R. Martin and series creator Jane Goldman.

The Long Night – a working title – covers a Westerosi era known as the Age of Heroes, which includes the Long Night and the introduction of White Walkers.

"From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend…it’s not the story we think we know," HBO stated in June.

The series will begin filming in in Belfast, though it could incorporate other locations, as Thrones is now famous for doing. Thrones also films a significant portion of its episodes in Belfast, so it's kind of nice to keep things in the fam.

The Long Night is expected to premiere in 2020.
