Sansa Stark is 'hungry for revenge' in 'Game of Thrones' Season 7, so Cersei better watch out

Pretty much everyone on Game of Thrones has had a miserable life, but few have had a rougher time than Sansa Stark.

Thankfully, as the war for the Iron Throne intensifies, actress Sophie Turner believes that her character's trial by fire has forged Sansa into a formidable player -- one who is done being anyone's victim.

In a new interview with Yahoo, Turner notes that Sansa has evolved "from being a naive, vulnerable innocent young woman and being such an underdog… to being a leader, powerful and hungry for revenge from the people who have done her family wrong."

Chief wrongdoer (or at least one of the few who's still alive) is Cersei Lannister, who is at the top of every Stark's kill list -- and yet Turner thinks that Sansa has a lot more in common with her former tormentor than either woman would admit.

"They’re both so family-obsessed and family-oriented, and will do anything for the people they love. I can totally see her becoming a Cersei and kind of driven mad by it, by the threats against her family," Turner said.

"At the end of the day, that’s why she does the things that she does, because she’s terrified of losing the people she loves," she added. "And so she’ll stop at nothing to protect them. If that means becoming like a ruthless killer, leader, sadistic woman or evil lady, then so be it. I don’t think it matters to her, and I can see Sansa swinging that way too.”

Sadly for Cersei, that probably means Sansa's coming for her (although Cersei should probably look for threats closer to home) -- but we hope she takes care of Littlefinger first.
