'Game of Thrones,' Peter Dinklage take home Emmys
Game of Thrones made history at its last ever Emmys by securing the award for Outstanding Drama Series.
Creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss thanked the cast, crew, production team, and of course A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin.
Earlier in the night, Peter Dinklage won his fourth Emmy for portraying Tyrion Lannister — a role he started almost 10 years ago when he first met David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. "I had no idea what I was getting myself into," Dinklage said in his speech. "David and Dan, we literally walked through fire and ice for you, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat."
