'Game of Thrones' actually gets pretty funny if you use the wrong subtitles
Game of Thrones just turned into the comedy of your dreams.
The Instagram account (@incorrectgotquotes) is combining screenshots from the HBO hit show and subtitles from other shows and films to make comedy gold.
The ending result will wipe away all the tears and sorrows from the last season.
Because, ya know, it wasn't the best the show had to offer.
"I saw people making these kind of posts with other TV shows/films and since Game of Thrones is my favorite show I made my first edit without thinking too much about what I'm gonna do with it," the owner of the account, whose name is Marysia, told Mashable.
The subtitles come from television shows like Friends, The Office, and Bob's Burgers to name a few. She also uses quotes from movies like Mean Girls to 10 Things I Hate About You.
Marysia said she started the account on Oct. 26 and already has over 23,000 followers. She posts about two to three times a day with a mix of all GOT's best scenes.
The 18-year-old high school senior was surprised by the positive feedback on Instagram.
"I love making people laugh and when I see messages from people saying how much they love my posts, it just makes my stone cold heart warm again," she said.
The Poland native mostly finds the quotes herself from her favorite television shows or movies. She immediately gets to work on connecting quotes and characters/scenes with no time to spare.
"It's the idea of imagining my favorite characters from Game of Thrones speaking like the people from modern sitcoms/comedies is the most bizarre and amusing thing to me," she said.
Her account bio states clearly: "I'll keep you warm until 2019." So it gives fans something to look forward to for the next two years.
