Man transforms himself into 'Game of Thrones' characters and it's freakishly realistic

What do Game of Thrones' Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Melisandre, and Brienne of Tarth have in common?

Other than the fact that they are popular female leads in the HBO series, each has also been transformed onto the face of one Instagram fan.

His name is Paolo Ballesteros, a popular actor and television host in the Philippines, where he boasts over 1.7 million followers thanks in part to his unbelievable makeup transformations.

"I start out by Googling pictures of the characters in different lighting to see the facial structures and contours," Ballesteros tells Mashable.

"Then I scan my pile of wigs and if I don't have the same hair color I'll buy one on Amazon."

Cutting wigs to make the perfect style is key for the looks, but Ballesteros says he also thinks about how he can reuse each for future videos. For instance, he says, the Cersei look came with a long wig but was cut in the front and tied in the back.

After hair, he'll sketch his face with an eyebrow pencil.

"I'll make my eyes bigger or more farther apart," he explains. "I'll shade the brows, make the nose shorter or longer, and then go to the mouth and cheekbones."

Next comes covering his eyebrows with a glue stick. He'll then prime his face before going into highlighting and contouring it to get the right complexion.

One of the most important parts for the face is the nose at the center. To achieve a close look, Ballesteros says he draws in bigger or smaller nostrils. He can also control how high or long the nose is through the eyebrow pencil.

The lips are the last part, which Ballesteros says is also the easiest.

"Most of the lips are the same shape," he explains. "But if they're not, I'll put black liner on the lower part of my upper lip to make it thinner and give that half-open mouth expression."

Finish the look up with most highlights and contours and voila! The look is complete.

In the past, Ballesteros has transformed himself into the likes of Gigi Hadid, the Kardashian Klan and Katy Perry, among others. But his recent ones are leaving fans of the show utterly breathless.
